Two Years Later

Meanwhile, Two Years Later

Hey, a lot has changed in the last two years.  Leta and I have moved from Toronto, to Saskatoon Sakatchewan.  Can you believe it?

As for my D&D campaign - it is still ongoing without me.

So why am I writing on this erstwhile defunct little blog?
To show as an example of how easy it is to create and operate a blog.

Perils of Poor Town: Chapter 1 & 2

An adventuring party of commoners discovers intrigue and danger in the wild world of Aereth.
-----------------------------------------------
6 commoners from an impoverished village take up the challenge of ridding their hamlet of the vile scourge of a minotaur. A brave paladin who has come to their rescue has not been seen for a week after he went after the beast. The town elects the chosen villagers to find out what happened to the paladin, and if necessary, finish off the quest of ridding their village of the minotaur's terror spree.
Before setting off on their quest, 2 of the 6 chosen commoners mysteriously disappear.

After avoiding some of the more obvious kobold traps, slaying some wild dogs and a host of kobolds, they lose one more of their number. This lost companion was not wise in battle tactics and paid the ultimate price. The remaining adventurers then rescue a stranger who had been caught by the kobolds, he swears loyalty to the group and agrees to help them complete their quest.

They clean a few more rooms of the citadel, killing an experienced and tough kobold warrior and his dire weasel companion, and find many valuable weapons.

They have also uncovered a piece of the paladin's personal journal and suspect his demise.

They retreat to a previously unchecked circular room filled with a rack of superior weapons, but guarded by enchanted suits of armor with golden lion helms. Their main (and until recently) stalwart fighter succumbs to his injuries after being attacked. His companions decide to pull him from the room and attempt to get him to safety before they lose yet another companion. As daylight fails, they look out from the stone mouth of the keep and ponder their fates.
